Nepal Himalayan Trek & Photo Tour
October 2013
October 2013
(Yes, this trip was originally planned for October of 2012, but has been postponed until 2013 to accommodate several people's schedules. There's only a couple spots open now so don't delay contacting me if you're interested in going.)
See Mount Everest up close from the top of Kala Patthar
Join me on this 15-day trek into the Khumbu region of the Nepalese Himalayas. With sherpas and porters to carry our loads, and lodges to eat and sleep in along the way, seeing Mt Everest close up doesn't get any easier.
The highlight of this trip will be a day hike (for sunset if conditions permit) to the top of Kala Patthar, an 18,000 foot peak with a direct view across the Khumbu Glacier to the Southwest face of Mt Everest, Base Camp and the Khumbu Icefall. This is one of the best views of Mount Everest in Nepal, even better than at Base Camp. For those in the group that would rather hike up to Base Camp that day instead, that option should also be available.
No mountaineering experience is necessary, however, this is a moderate to strenuous hike at high elevations and prior conditioning is a must.
Our group will be lead by experienced Sherpas (some have summited Everest) and as a professional photographer, I can help you capture those special moments.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Mt Everest with professionals that will make your experience something that you'll never forget. We are keeping this to a small group so space is limited and only a couple openings remain.
For more information, please contact me, Alan Plisskin, at 415-456-4657 or via email.
